Ombudsman for the Defence Forces to Deliver Keynote Address at Launch of OSCE Publication on the Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms of Armed Forces Personnel

The Ombudsman for the Defence Forces, Paulyn Marrinan Quinn, will address the launch of the OSCE publication ‘Handbook on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms of Armed Forces Personnel’.
The launch took place on 28th May in the Segmentgalarie of the Hofburg, Vienna.
The project is jointly directed by the OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and the Geneva-based Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF).
The handbook is aimed at all individuals who play a role in promoting, protecting and enforcing the human rights of armed forces personnel, including policy makers, military personnel and judges.
The Ombudsman for the Defence Forces formally launched her second annual report on 3rd June in Dublin.
